Landis wants all our customers to be informed of some updates not only from UPS but also FedEx and the United States Parcel Service.

Please see the calendar below for suspended services from UPS and FedEx ground services:

UPS Select and Special Services

UPS is guaranteeing special services up until the following days:

 

UPS is also hosting Super Weekend from December 17th – December 18th, to help alleviate a fulfillment spike on Monday December 19th. They will:

  1. Provide Saturday and Sunday air, international and UPS 3 Day select pickup from pre-identified customers with no Saturday or Sunday pickup surcharge

  2. UPS Next Day Air pick up Saturday will be guaranteed for Monday (12/19) delivery; UPS Next Day Air picked up on Sunday will be guaranteed for Tuesday delivery (12/20)

  3. UPS 2nd Day Air picked up on Saturday will be guaranteed for Tuesday (12/20) delivery; UPS 2nd Day Air picked up on Sunday will be guaranteed for Wednesday delivery (12/21)

  4. UPS 3 Day Select picked up on Saturday will be guaranteed for Wednesday delivery (12/21); UPS 3 Day Select picked up on Sunday will be guaranteed for Thursday delivery (12/22) (One day sooner than those shipped Monday 12/19)

FedEx Express and Select Services

FedEx Express services will be suspended temporarily on Wednesday November 23rd (one day only) and from Monday December 19th until Saturday December 24th within 90 minutes of the scheduled commitment time. FedEx Express services include:

  • FedEx First, Priority, and Standard Overnight

  • FedEx 2Day and 2Day A.M.

  • FedEx Express Saver

  • FedEx First Overnight, 1Day, 2Day, and 3Day Freight

  • FedEx International First, Priority, Economy, Priority DirectDistribution, Economy Distribution, MailService,

  • FedEx International Priority Freight and Economy Freight

 

FedEx Freight guarantee services will be suspended with required delivery dates of Monday December 19th through Tuesday January 3rd.  FedEx Freight will provide normal pickup and delivery, without money-back guarantee, except when closed for holidays December 24th, 25th, 26th, 31st and January 1st and 2nd.

United States Postal Service

 

USPS Retail Ground services will be guaranteed until Thursday December 15th.

 

Select Services only

 

1. First-Class Mail Service (Tuesday 12/20/16)

2. Priority Mail Service (Wednesday 12/21/16)

3. Priority Mail Express Service (Friday 12/23/16) 

         *Priority Mail Express postage refund eligible for adjustments mailed between

          December 22-25

4. Destination Network Distribution Center (DNDC) Drop Ship (Monday 12/19/16)

5. Destination Delivery Unit (DDU) Drop Ship (Thursday 12/22/16)

 

Shipments to the domestic military bases and distribution centers please see the following schedule.

PMEMS is available to selected military/diplomatic Post Offices. Check with your local Post Office to determine if this service is available to an APO/FPO/DPO address.

 

PAL is a service that provides air transportation for parcels on a space-available basis. It is available for USPS Retail Ground items not exceeding 30 lbs in weight or 60" in length and girth combined. The applicable PAL fee must be paid in addition to the regular surface price for each addressed piece sent by PAL service.

 

SAM parcels are paid at USPS Retail Ground prices with maximum weight and size limits of 15 lbs and 60" in length and girth combined. SAM parcels are first transported domestically by surface and then to overseas destinations by air on a space-available basis.
